Green Points
In the cow horse, you are given a reining score and a cow score. Each score starts with a 70 and you can receive credits or deductions from there. 60 is as low as you can go in either the reining or cow work (with the exception of a zero score). In the Green, points are tracked to graduate out of Green I and then to graduate from Green II and get your buckle. You must earn 100 points to move on to Green II and 200 points to graduate out. Points are calculated by taking your combined score (rein score + cow score) and subtracting 120.
For example, if you had a reining score of 68 and a cow score of 70, you would have a total score of 138. You would subtract 120, giving you 18 points toward your buckle.
